Ekmeles +

Ekmeles is augmented by electronics and/or solo instrumental accompaniment for this celebration of collaborative sound. Ann Cleare’s new work features Will Lang on trombone, and a custom-built electronics setup. Finnish accordion virtuoso Timo Kinnunen joins Ekmeles for George Lewis’s new work. And finally, Ekmeles’s Chamber Music America commission from Christopher Trapani receives its second performance here, paired with an older work for voices and electronics by established master of computer music Kaija Saariaho.
